Frequently Asked Questions

Ring Sizing

The best way to ensure you get the correct size ring is to head to your local jewelry store and ask to be fitted. If you choose to measure your ring size yourself, be aware that it could be slightly off. There are a variety of printable ring sizers available online for a more exact measurement (google search ‘how to find my ring size’).

Use a non-stretch piece of paper or string (my personal favorite is a zip tie) and wrap it around your finger as if it was a ring. Make sure it slides on and off comfortably. Also consider how you like your rings to fit, more snug or more loose? Mark the string or paper where the ends overlap and measure in millimeters. Use the chart below to find your ring size. If you are in between sizes, round up. If your knuckle and the base of your finger are drastically different, measure them both and pick a size between the two. This is an inexact science so please reach out if you need help!

What are our ethics when it comes to sourcing and materials?

The metal used at Marrow Lee is either recycled and rolled out by me, or sourced from Rio Grande.

Many of the stones I feature are collected from various places around Montana, or found on my travels. Other stones are sourced from local lapidaries and bead shops, or cut and shaped by yours truly.

What if I saw a stone I liked in a design, but it’s no longer an option?

Because of my method of sourcing, it’s common that certain stones or features will phase in and out from time to time. We’ll consistently offer several river or naturally occurring rock options and feature other ethically mined or inspiring organic materials when they’re available. If you saw something you loved, and it’s no longer on the website please reach out to us via contact or custom form. We may be able to source it for a custom order, or suggest something similar as an alternative.

Can I use my own stones/ivory?

YES! Since I have a limited supply for most of my materials, I am happy to work with whatever special stone you’ve been coveting or dreaming of a reinvent. I would ask that you include this information on the customs page.

My earrings look slightly different… How come?

Because each piece is handmade, and each stone is unique you may see some slight variations in your pair… Whether it’s that the stones are slightly unique in shape, or your lunar studs vary slightly due to hand hammering. I do my best to pick a pair that looks the most similar but variations within any specific design is undoubtedly part of their charm!

A design is out of stock on the website… How often do you restock?

I’ll do my best to keep staple designs available year round, however, during times of high demand, you may find things sold out. If so, feel free to reach out via the contact form or sign up for restock notifications.

Frequently I design one of a kind pieces that will sell out. If you missed out on something you love, let me know so I can include similar pieces in future drops.

How long before I receive my order?

From the time you place your order, we’ll ship within 4-6 days. I have several shipping options available upon checkout. If you’re concerned it won't arrive in time or there’s an issue with your order, don’t hesitate to contact me and I’ll do everything we can to resolve any issues or expedite the process.

My ring doesn’t fit or I’m not entirely happy with my purchase, what’s your return policy?

Being a small business and single maker, I don’t offer full refunds but I want you to be over the moon with your purchase. If you find that the sizing isn’t correct, or the product doesn’t feel like you.. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to and we’d be more than happy to exchange it, resize it, or give you credit for the future. We want you to love anything you get from Marrow Lee.

Ivory Disclaimer:

The elk ivory I use comes from animals that my family hunts and eats year-round. I use these teeth in my designs as an effort to put the entire animal to use and minimize any possible waste.

Porcupine Quills:

Sourced from a shop on Etsy, these quills are found and not poached.

Metals:

For ears that don’t tolerate sterling well, we have select posts and dangle styles in stainless steel! Feel free to double check the description of each piece to make sure it will be right for your ears.
